The website 'robertritchie.net' is a personal website owned and created by founder Robert Ritchie and provided and hosted by Wix.com. By using this website, you agree and accept the terms stated below and I reserve the right to update or amend any part of these terms at any time. Please contact me with any questions about the below terms and privacy information. Unless otherwise stated, all photography and content on this website belongs to Robert Ritchie and is not to be used or reproduced by anyone else unless explicit permission has been sought and provided by Robert Ritchie. To prevent any misuse and reproduction, all right-click features have been disabled.

I take your privacy very seriously and as such, have outlined the personal information I collect both in person and via this website. I also explain how and why I use your information, how you can access a copy of your information and when I may have to share your personal information.

Personal information I collect, process and share

Protected personal information, or personally identifiable information (PII) is Personal information provided to me by you that can identify you. This may include but is not limited to, your name, date of birth, postal address, telephone number and email address and is only used to process Reiki Energy reservations, create a client file and provide Reiki treatments.

Paying for your Treatment

I do not collect, receive or store any payment information you provide to Fresha when paying for your appointment. To manage and make any changes relating to your stored card/payment methods please access your Fresha account.

I may also receive some of your personal information when you contact me via email, but for this purpose, I will not retain any personal information but use it to respond to your enquiries.

Storing of your personal information

I have secure systems in place to ensure the safe storage, processing and retrieval of your personal information and client notes. This includes an encrypted storage device with secure password access. Your data will only ever be retained to comply with our legal obligations, which at present is a maximum of seven years or until you provide written confirmation that your client file be securely and permanently deleted or incinerated for any paper/manually retained information/documents.

Processing your personal information

The personal information you provide will only be used by me to, create, process and update Reiki Energy reservations, consultations and treatments and contact you directly via your preferred method of contact to reply to correspondence received.

Sharing of your personal information

There may be times when I am legally required to share your personal information to comply with professional, legal and medical requirements. I will always seek to obtain your informed written consent before sharing your personal information, but in emergencies, and for crime protection/personal and or public safety, this may not always be possible and you agree not to hold me responsible for any data loss, the transfer and/or processing of data by any third party.

Newsletter subscription

When subscribing to my newsletter, you agree that I can send you updates on Reiki Energy Treatments and send you information from my current brand partners Tropic Skincare and Neal's Yard Remedies. Your personal email address will never be shared with my brand partners and each email you receive will come directly from me, which you can unsubscribe from at any time here.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy was published on 27th August 2024. I reserve the right to update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Should any changes be made to this policy, we will seek to notify you with a clear notice at the top of this page.

Robertritchie.net does not use any analytical, data tracking or monitoring cookies or software and as such does not have a formal cookie policy. When clicking any links that lead you away from my website, you confirm and acknowledge that you are formally leaving my website and formally entering into a contract and agreement with your chosen third-party provider's terms, which may include booking, payment, delivery, cancellation, data retention and privacy policies. Consultations and Bookings

Choosing to experience Reiki is deeply personal. That's why I provide the option to book a complimentary 30-minute in-person consultation before booking your initial Reiki appointment. During your consultation, we'll explore what brought you to Reiki and address any questions and expectations you may have about Reiki within a safe and supportive space at The Practice Rooms.

All Reiki energy treatments need to be paid in full at the time of booking. All Reiki appointments automatically include an additional 15-minute consultation at the beginning of each treatment excluding Reiki consultations which last 30 minutes.

Paying for your Treatment

Contraindications and when not to book

For everyone's health and safety, please do not schedule or attend a scheduled appointment if you are under the age of 18 or any of the following apply;

You are under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19.

Experience respiratory illnesses or experience uncontrolled high/low blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, uncontrolled epilepsy and/or unhealed bone fractures or breaks or have any contagious skin, hair or fungal infections, open/actively healing wounds and/or sites of active infection or have head/body lice or mites. Please also share any known allergies with me before scheduling your appointment to ensure the products I use are safe for you to experience.

Managing your appointment

You can self-manage your Reiki Energy appointment via your Fresha account.

Please provide 48 hours' notice to re-schedule or cancel your existing appointment via Fresha or the full payment will be retained to cover the full cost of the treatment and room hire fees.

No refund or treatment will be provided for non-attendance, late arrivals over 15 minutes or last-minute cancellations/rescheduled requests received by email or via Fresha.

Disclaimer About Reiki Energy Treatments

What Reiki Cannot Do: Reiki Energy is a natural form of complementary therapy useful for experiencing deep relaxation and the easement of physical and emotional stress. Reiki Energy will not actively treat, heal or cure any medically diagnosed disease or physical, or mental health condition/s.

Should you be uncertain if Reiki is the most suitable form of holistic/complementary therapy for you and your current medical condition, I strongly recommend you speak with your medical practitioner before scheduling an appointment.

Reiki Sensations: Because Reiki is deeply personal, each person will experience Reiki Energy differently depending on the energy each client individually needs at the time of appointment.

While some clients have shared they have felt a sense of deep relaxation, emotional calmness and an overall feeling of peace and wellbeing different clients have shared sensations of warmth, coolness, tingling and seeing colours. While these sensations demonstrate the active flow of Reiki Energy, they may not always be felt or experienced during an appointment.

Contraindications: Should any of the above contraindications apply and you continue to schedule and/or attend your appointment, your appointment will be immediately cancelled without a refund. You also agree not to hold me in any way responsible for any injury/illness or allergy reaction which you failed to share or document on your consultation form.

Oracle Card Readings - Please read in conjunction with the above policies.

Choosing to experience an Oracle Card Reading is deeply personal, so I strongly suggest you do not purchase a reading based on medical or legal questions, as they will not be answered and you will be advised to seek professional medical or legal advice and guidance. All Oracle Card readings are for those aged over 18 only.

Your personal card reading will need to be paid in full at the time of booking via Fresha. Once I have completed your reading, I will include a photo of your unique spread of up to six Oracle Cards from the Witching Hour Deck by Lorriane Anderson via email based on your question and provide a detailed and unique reading. All readings will be completed within 48 hours of purchase to ensure all questions are fully answered.

Please do not ask more than three questions to ensure a detailed reply can be given.

When reading your reply and making future decisions, always listen to your intuition. Consulting Oracle Cards is a guide to your subconscious and messages from your higher self. I will not answer any medical or legal questions. Readings are for those aged over 18 only. By law and for insurance purposes, I am obliged to say all card readings are for entertainment purposes only and do not replace the care provided to you by a registered physical or mental health professional.

Indemnity

You agree not to hold me personally, professionally and financially responsible in any way for any decisions or life choices you solely make following your oracle card reading, or for any injury/illness, damage or loss to any personal possessions or data relating to your oracle card reading purchase, You also agree that you are solely responsible for all actions you take should you follow any information/guidance detailed in the reading.
