Wellness Ritual for Better Sleep.



There are so many health and wellbeing benefits from experiencing a good quality night’s sleep. Sleep can increase your productivity, boost your mood, improve your health, repair and replenish skin health and its natural protective functioning and help keep your energy up – so it’s essential to ensure you’re getting enough sleep at night, to function properly during the day.


Follow my lovely relaxing self-care ritual, which actively promotes relaxation through the practice of gentle self-massage and Aromatherapy.


Your Bathing Ritual.


Begin by running a bath and adding three to four capfuls of Lavender Bath Milk to the running water, gently swirling in a figure of eight to release the natural soothing and aromatherapeutic fragrance.


While waiting for your bath to fill, take a few moments to connect with yourself by sitting on the bed, closing your eyes, and taking a few deep breaths while allowing your thoughts to quieten, before gently lifting and rotating your shoulders several times backwards as if being lifted by a wave to release any tension.


Then when your bath is ready, soak for around twenty to thirty minutes, allowing the soothing aroma to relax the body and mind.


Relaxing Foot Massage.


Once you’re out of the bath and while the skin is still a little damp, apply a few drops of Lavender Relaxing Body Oil to the palms of your hands, gently warming the oil by spreading it between both palms before applying it to your body.


To begin the relaxing foot massage, gently place one hand on the top of the foot near the ankle bone, and the other hand on the underside of the foot, moving both hands slowly down the foot with a little pressure three times. Then with the heel of your hand and the base of the thumb pad, draw circular kneading movements over the heel of the foot, before using your thumb to draw small circular and considered massage movements over the whole sole including your toes three times. Complete the self-massage routine with three full soothing strokes of each foot, which you completed at the beginning of the massage routine.


Now, with both body, mind and soul fully infused with lavender, keep the lights dim and the gadgets off and drift off into a blissful and peaceful night’s sleep.
